In Japan, it is currently Silver Week - a weekend followed by three consecutive public holidays (totally ganked this from wikipedia :p).  Unfortunately, my uni has decided since we are *cough* hard diligent *cough* students, we will not be able to take those days off.  But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the sales that are on at the moment \o/

Yay, mid-terms are over.  No holidays though which makes me sad.  But least today I only had one class, which makes me happy.  Really need to actually start writing my research paper, as oppose to just collecting data.

when your bike gets a burst tire, you can trade your bike for another one.  pretty sweet, huh?

finally got a mobile!  japanese phones are weird - instead of texting your friend, you wld email them.  it is pretty neat, because it means you can fit more info into the message.  so i can't receive txt messages from you guys who are outside of japan.  but if you email my phone's address i pretty much get it instantanously, and i can reply to your ( Read more... )
